After leaving school in 1996, Tom studied mechanical and electrical engineering at college. He then went on to train as an M&E designer/co-ordinator, working within the commercial and residential sectors.
In 2005 Tom travelled extensively around the world. His professional interest and passion for more sustainable energy conscious solutions developed from his time away, while experiencing the positive effects of renewable energy.
On his return, Tom utilised his background in M&E, and embarked on a career in the energy assessing sector of the construction industry. From 2006, training to become a Code for Sustainable Homes assessor, SAP assessor & SBEM assessor, Tom is now well known and respected in the industry with many satisfied clients.
Tom heads up the pre-commencement works team for S.E.A. He is passionate about utilising his knowledge to assist his clients in achieving the best outcomes possible for their projects. He understands that successes are built on excellent working relationships, and is always willing to investigate alternative ideas, ensuring his clients have explored all the options available to them. With this client-led approach, the optimum outcomes can be achieved with regard to limiting carbon emissions, keeping in budget, design solutions and client satisfaction.
Kevin commenced his career in construction in 1983 as an apprentice carpenter for Coombs Construction in Canterbury. After several years, and having gained much experience, Kevin set up his own sole trader company, dealing with mostly small works and managing a group of sub-contractors with a focus on quality construction.
Having enjoyed 12 years in the profession, Kevin chose a new challenge and retrained as a Physiotherapist at Brunel University. He went on to have active senior roles within the NHS and his own practice.
Kevin then returned to the construction industry, and is now a co-director of S.E.A. His main roles are leading the post construction services of air and sound testing, quality assurance and client liaison. He is a fully qualified air tester through his ATTMA membership, and registered with the Institute of Acoustics as a qualified sound measurement tester.
